Midterm Check In

The semester is going well, my grades are mostly where I want them to be and I am doing well with managing my time. I need to improve my chemistry grade and keep up with the course in the textbook. As for suggestions for you, none come to mind. I honestly think you are doing a very good job.

Structure/Significance

In my project pitch I am missing a more clearly stated thesis. The way I grouped my points together is not working very well. They seem to stray from the main topic as I elaborate on each one. The story of Zach's life communicates the message I want because it is showing a personal side to the life of an amputee. The information on technological advancements of prosthetic legs is quite frankly, unrelated.

Annotated Bibliography Response Part 2

I think Evan's presentation stood out today. He used clear and concise sentence structure in his slides. He did not use too much information, he used just enough to interest you and make you want to listen to what he was saying. If the slide has too much or too little information it can distract from the presentation. However, in Evan's case, the amount of information was perfect.

Annotated Bibliography Response Part 1

One person who I thought had a very effective presentation was Cady. She seemed very enthusiastic about her topic and that led me to want to pay attention more. She was not monotone in her speaking and her energy could be felt in the room. This makes it more likely that the audience will listen to her and take an interest in what she is talking about.
